After some thought on yesterday, there was something I forgot to mention. When we first arrived at the orphanage, the door we enter in to the cloak room was not locked so we walked in, then the door into where the children are was also open a jar. There standing in an old baby walker was Ethan, and next to him was a stroller of which he was checking out the straps and then proceeding to chew on them. We all stood watching him for about a minute, when he looked up and saw us, a big smile came across his face and then with all his might he tried to climb out of the chair in excitement. We then heard a worker go Dimi Dimi thinking he was trying to get out when she saw us and realized what his excitement was for. The rest of our visit was spent playing with the usual toys.
After our visit we went to the internet cafe and then met up with our new friends from the USA and went out for some supper at a place called “Sir Lancelot” we had some good pizza and an even better chat. Their usual taxi driver drove us home instead of us having to endure the bus ride home. He took us a different way we had not been before and even though it was dark we could see that there are a lot of houses also here in the city. I would like to show you a picture but this is hard when in the back of a car to get a good one, as they are nothing like houses back home. They are much smaller, although we have seen some new buildings that are 2 stories and look more like a house in England.

We sure have problems when it comes to water in this country. We woke and Martin had a shower... you think ok this is a normal thing, but later Laura goes to wash her hands and informs us there is no hot water, I at first thought that she had the tap turned the wrong way, but upon checking she was right and in the bathroom were it is a separate tap for hot there was no water coming out at all, same in the kitchen. We contacted Natasha who looked into for us only to find out it was a city wide problem. By the time we got home tonight it was sorted.
It was another sunny day mixed with some clouds and a high of 11C. It was our usual bus trip to the orphanage, and once there we asked if we could take Ethan outside for a play (Our US friends had been allowed to with their son) and they agreed but for only Half an hour. We made the most of this and took him over to the play area, all bundled up in snow pants, coat and hat. We set him on the slide and he did not seem to know what to make of this, we tried a few more times and although he did not get upset he was not showing any excitement about it either. We then allowed him to walk all around and he was checking everything out sticks, plants etc. Robin, Jim, Logan and their new son Zach came out for a play as well and it was nice to spend some time outside and not cooped up inside. The rest of our visit was spent inside again playing with the usual toys.
We then shared a cab ride back to the hotel of Jim and Robin where I was able to download the videos you have seen in the other post easier than at the cafe. We were also able to visit with Nancy, another from the US who is adopting from the same orphanage and who is in the same hotel. Then it was back on the bus and back to the apartment/home. It was a little crowded and standing room only but we had managed to get a seat and this is much easier with Laura. We took a different bus route and saw a “cosmic bowling alley”
Right now I am watching the world figure skating from Italy even though I don’t understand the commentaries’.
