up stakes and moved

The couch pulls out to a nice comfy bed for Laura and gives us
much more space for us all to sit.
Our new kitchen with a lot more counter space and a stove that does not require me to use a match to light it.
Yesterday was a slow day; we stayed at the apartment most of the day in case Lesya called to say we would be moving. I was not feeling to good so it was a good time to stay in and get packed up. Around 2pm Lesya called to say we would be moving over to Peter and Wendy’s apartment due to the fact they had been to the SDA and been matched with a child out of town. They would be catching the train that night and we would be picked up between 7 and 8pm. We decided to take a walk down to the square and take pictures of things we had not yet done, we knew that the square was going to be a long walk or subway ride away. We found an old double decker b
us that has been changed to a restaurant. It was a nice walk and we got home at around 5pm, I did an early supper and used up some of the food, so we would not have to move it.
At 7:30pm Lesya called to say they would be there in 15 mins to pick us up and to get everything down stairs. It was only about a 20 minute drive across town to get to our new place and was it worth it. It is smaller than the last place but it is 100% better. We have more cooking utensils, pots and pans and the oven has racks so we can use it also. It is cleaner and brighter with 2 big windows to let light in and has a much cosier feel to it. We are on a main road so during the day there is traffic noise, and at night there is a little noise but we will get used to that. We have both realized that we were getting depressed at the other place and now we both feel ready to take on what comes our way. We have a bigger grocery store nearby that is a little bit more like home and is easier to shop in with Laura as it is not so crowded. There is a large open air market that we intend to go explore tomorrow.
We are told that we should be going to the SDA next week and our fingers are crossed that the luck will turn, like Peter and Wendy’s has. So by this time next week we may still be here in our luxury place or moved on to a whole new town. Talk about not being in control of your life.
Take care everyone

PS : just as a side note our friends who moved out have been matched with a little boy and we are waiting to hear more from them.
