Right, being as it is Sunday we've had a quieter day, I had a sleep in, while Laura played and not sure what Martin was doing. It was a day for getting laundry done, then trying to figure out where to hang it as there is no drying rack, so the jeans got hung over the back of chairs and put on coat hangers and hung from the curtain rod. It is amazing the things you come up with when you have no choice and the usual things not there. We have Laura's rope strung across the room from door handle to door handle to dry some other laundry. What would we do if she did not like hanging laundry and we think to pack a rope. :)
The washing machine seems to take about 2 hours to do the wash, which allowed us some time to play and dance with Laura. We had her MP3 player on playing kids music and we took the 2 fake plants and put them in the middle of the room to dance to "Here we go around the mulberry bush" what a sight Martin, Laura and myself skipping around fake plants.
We did get out for a couple of hours, and made our way back to the open air market; we realized that it is made up of cargo containers with containers on top of them for storage. Everything is sold here from packed food to meat and cheese, clothing, toys, makeup ect. Prices are cheap a man’s wool coat for around $85. Laura did really good and walked for a while listening to her MP3 player, and then we did spelling, Laura asking how to spell a word and me telling her to sound it out and spell it, she did really well at this.
Something we have not told you is that you will see old women on the sidewalk selling all kinds of meat and chicken out of box, that is sitting on the ground and the meat is not wrapped up in any way. Both Martin and I are not eager customers; we will stick to the grocery store.
This is it for our day but right now we are watching the Canada vs USA hockey game live on a German station, all I can say is it is a good job we know the game as we cannot understand anything they are saying. Oh for Don Cherry. (anyone would think I wached hockey all the time)
I have included some new pictures of our time here below.
