Not great news but it is what it is

Well after typing the blog this morning we headed out to St-Andrews descent. We took the funicular down the hill, only to have Lesya call us just as we got on. She needed to meet with us for the money to pay for the apartment and internet. So we met her at the bottom and they drove us back to the apartment to get the money we needed to pay them. They then drove us back to the funicular which saved us a walk up the hill oh ya and I should mention that Laura begged them to drive us as she did not want to walk. So it was back down the Funicular, walked along the road and finally after asking for some directions we found the narrow, cobbled descent. The only way to describe the road is rocks to make a cobble road. The sidewalk was still too icy to walk on in spots so we walked up the road. It once again is a very steep hill with vendors up the sidewalk. We found some souvenirs, but because we set out late it was getting dusk and cold so we decided we will go back another day to finish that job.

Now to the talk with Lesya, it turns out that they will be turning off the hot water in our building later this week, due to some people not having hot water in their apartments for 5 months. So we are going to be moving to what we think is a better apartment, so we are ok with this. This will be on Wednesday or Thursday. Now what this means is that we are not going back to the SDA this week, as there are no children and the ones they do have are over 5 years old. So we are going to be here another week without a child. So much for fingers crossed. We think things may be being held up due to the fact that they just voted in a new President and no one wants to make decisions as the new government will put new people in charge. We are not sure but we wonder if this is slowing us down.

So yet again we are still tourists and running out of things to do in some ways. We want to see everything on this side as we will be right the other end closer to the train station and it will be long walk back.
